A mountain house in Brazil, design by Anastasia Arquitetos

Anastasia Arquitetos has designed a new modern house in Nova Lima, a mountainous city in Brazil in the federal state of Minas Gerais, near Belo Horizonte, the capital of this federal state. Minas Gerais is located in the northern part of the Sudeste region (the south-eastern part of the country), not far from the ocean. This state is rich in mines of precious stones and especially in emeralds. It is very nice in this part of the federal state, the average temperature is almost 21 ° C. In the higher parts, further south, in winter, temperatures may reach -15 ° C.

On the other hand, by positioning itself practically on the lower part of the slope so that the house is above us, one can realize the immensity of this one and the existence of several stages composing it. In addition, one understands the external form of the house which is by no means traditional. Indeed, Anastasia Arquitetos has been very daring to design an original house.

Inside, there is a corridor covered with wood that leads to the different levels of the house. The main floor is the first floor, where there are social and family areas, while the recreation area, garage, laundry, and guest rooms are below. It is not easy to speak of the ground floor in this case but if it is still necessary to name this floor below the main floor, it will be designated as the ground floor.

The hallway through the front door descends into the living room and dining room. The high ceilings of the living room and the windows overlooking the low altitude of the city create a feeling of vastness. Next to the living room is the dining room which has a large wooden table of 12 people surrounded by leather and metal chairs. The chosen interior design is very vintage.

The living room is very large. Several islands of seats (sofa and chairs) cover the very large area. The chosen dyes mimic the colors of the main materials composing the construction: wood and concrete. Flowers are everywhere embellish the place.
